For the man who's hard to shop for

Make a song for my husband that sounds like him.

Tell us the inside jokes, the truck that never starts and the way he still holds the door. We write the lyrics and record two full versions with his name in them; you keep the one that's him.

  • His name in the chorus
  • Hear two versions first
  • From $34.99

How to write a custom song for your husband

No husband wants a greeting card set to music. Find the one that sounds like yours, borrow the details worth singing, and start from the sound we'd pick.

  • Two chipped enamel mugs of coffee on a porch railing at dawn, one steaming, beside a pair of worn leather work gloves (AI photo)Track 1

    The quiet one

He'd rather fix your car than talk about feelings. Let the song say it for him.

    Write about

    • What he does instead of saying it: your coffee poured first, gas in your tank
    • A time he showed up without being asked
    • The sentence you wish you'd said out loud

    Keep it him

Specific beats sweet for a man who hates a fuss. Ask for it plain and warm.

    Try
    • Country
    • Calm
    • Male voice
  • A lopsided Sunday pancake with a goofy blueberry-and-banana face on a plate, a flour-dusted spatula beside it (AI photo)Track 2

    The funny one

If he can't stay serious for five minutes, don't make him.

    Write about

    • The running joke only the two of you get
    • His worst pun, word for word
    • The plan of his that went hilariously wrong

    Keep it him

Say in your story it should be light and funny, then let one line land straight.

    Try
    • Pop
    • Happy
    • Male voice
  • A man's steel wristwatch beside a tiny knitted baby sock and a baby bottle on a nightstand under a lamp (AI photo)Track 3

    The new dad

His first year as a father, told by the person who watched it happen.

    Write about

    • The first night home and the car seat he checked three times
    • What he sings at 3 a.m.
    • The thing the baby does only for him

    Keep it him

Father's Day is the perfect excuse. Put the kids' names in your story too.

    Try
    • Indie
    • Calm
    • Female voice
  • A packed canvas duffel and worn work boots by a front door at dawn, a child's crayon drawing tucked under the strap (AI photo)Track 4

    The one who's away

Deployed, on the road, on a rotation. Write the distance in.

    Write about

    • The countdown on the fridge, and who crosses off the days
    • What the house sounds like without him
    • The first thing you'll do when he's home

    Keep it him

The gift link reaches him wherever he has signal. Nothing to ship.

    Try
    • Ballad
    • Romantic
    • Female voice
  • A worn leather baseball glove holding a scuffed ball on a pickup tailgate at a ballpark at sunset (AI photo)Track 5

    The game-day guy

His team, his grill, his superstitions. They're all lyrics.

    Write about

    • The lucky shirt he won't let you wash
    • The first game you went to together
    • Who he turns into in the last two minutes

    Keep it him

Give it a chorus he can shout. A festive rock song gets played at the tailgate.

    Try
    • Rock
    • Festive
    • Male voice
  • A workbench with a hammer, wood shavings, a mug and an old radio open mid-repair under a clamp lamp (AI photo)Track 6

    The fixer

The garage, the deck he built, the leaky sink at midnight.

    Write about

    • The project that took three summers
    • The tool he'd save in a fire
    • Everything in your house he built or rescued

    Keep it him

Pick a groove he can work to. He'll play it in the garage on repeat.

    Try
    • Country
    • Happy
    • Male voice
  • Not just one of these?

Most husbands are three of them at once. Start with the story only you know, and we'll find the song in it.

    • His name
    • How long you've been together
    • Three things only you know
    Start his song

On the form, a husband is Spouse; a fiancé or boyfriend is Boyfriend / Girlfriend. Every genre, mood and voice is open to you, and you can change them after the first two versions.

Press play

How to give it without putting him on the spot

Most husbands love their song and hate being watched while they hear it. Choose the setting that suits yours.

  • The long drive

In the car, eyes on the road

Connect your phone and press play somewhere with a few miles ahead. Nobody has to make eye contact, and he'll ask for it again.

  • After dinner

    Between dessert and the check

Set the phone face up on the table and let the first verse do the work. A quiet corner, not the bar with the TVs.

  • Scheduled

Waiting for him at 7:00 a.m.

Schedule the gift email the night before. He hears it alone with his coffee, then comes to find you.

  • From all of you

Let the kids hand it over

Have them press play and stand right there. His tears become a family moment instead of a spotlight.

How it works

How to make a song for your husband, track by track

Most wives create a song for their husband in one sitting, often after he's gone to bed.

  1. Track 1

    Tell us about him

His name, how long you've been together, the occasion, and three to five true things: a habit, a joke, a place, a moment.

  2. Track 2

    Choose how it sounds

Pick a genre, a mood and a male voice, a female voice or a duet, sung in English, Spanish, Portuguese or Italian.

  3. Track 3

    Listen to both versions

They're ready a few minutes later with a light preview watermark. Change a line or the sound and two fresh versions come back.

  4. Track 4

    Keep one and send it

Pay for the version that's him, add photos and a note to the gift page, then send it now or schedule it.

FAQ

Before you make a song for your husband

Honest answers about tone, voices, timing and what happens if it doesn't sound like him.

He hates anything mushy. Will this embarrass him?

Tell us in your story how it should feel: light and funny, warm but not soppy, or a full custom love song for your husband. Pick a mood like Happy, Calm or Nostalgic instead of Romantic. Specific details read as love; vague ones read as a greeting card.

Can it include our inside jokes and his nickname?

Yes, that's what makes it his. Put them in your story, and if a nickname is unusual, add how it sounds in parentheses. If a line comes out wrong, change it and two new versions come back.

Can a man sing it?

Yes. Choose Male voice, Female voice or Duet, where two voices trade lines. A female voice can sound like it's coming from you; a male voice sounds more like a record he'd put on himself.

I want to write a song for my husband myself. Can you help?

You write the story, we write the song. Add any lines you've already written to your story and we'll build around what they say. Before you pay, you can change lines in the lyrics until it sounds like the two of you.

Does it work for our anniversary, his birthday or Father's Day?

All three. Choose the occasion on the form: Anniversary, Birthday, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, Christmas, Wedding, or Just because for everything else, like a homecoming or the end of a hard year.

Anniversary songs for every year

How quickly will it be ready?

Both versions are usually ready two to three minutes after you send the story. Once you pay, the gift page and downloads unlock straight away, so it still works on the day itself.

How do I give it to him?

Send him the private gift link, schedule the gift email for an exact time, play the MP3 in the car, or print the QR code inside a card. The gift page also holds your photos and a note.

What if it doesn't sound like him?

Then don't pay for it. Change a line, the mood or the voice and two fresh versions come back; the app shows how many edit rounds are left. After payment, purchases are final except as our refund policy describes.

What files do I get, and is the song ours?

Your customized song for your husband comes as an MP3, an MP4 lyric video and a lyrics PDF, plus the gift page with its link and QR code. We transfer our rights in the song to you, so you can play it at the party, post it, or keep it between the two of you.
