01About these terms

These terms are the agreement between you and the SongToLove team (“SongToLove”, “we”, “us”), which runs songtolove.com. “You” means the person using the site. By using SongToLove or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

02Who can use SongToLove

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to buy a song. A song can be made for a child, but an adult has to place the order.

When you make a song for someone else, you're responsible for the information you give us about them.

03What SongToLove is

SongToLove makes personalized songs with artificial intelligence. AI writes the lyrics from what you tell us and produces the music, and the vocals are synthetic voices. No real singer or artist performs on, takes part in or endorses your song.

04Ordering and options

• You tell us about the recipient and the occasion, choose a musical style and share your story. We write the lyrics and produce two versions of the song.
• Before paying, you can listen, ask for changes to the lyrics or style and generate new versions a limited number of times. The app shows how many rounds of changes you have left.
• You can personalize the gift with photos, a message, your name, a theme and an opening, and preview it before paying.
• If we offer optional extras, such as releasing your song on streaming services, each one and its price are shown before you pay.
• After payment you get the song without watermarks (MP3), the lyrics as a PDF, a private gift page with a link and QR code, and a gift video (MP4) that we make when you ask for it. You can send the gift by email right away or on a day you choose.
• If you don't complete a purchase, your draft is kept for 96 hours and then deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.

05Prices and payment

• Prices are shown on the site and at checkout. Any taxes that apply are shown at checkout before you pay.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Your purchase is complete once Stripe confirms the payment. Returning to our site on its own doesn't complete an order.
• What you buy is fixed when you start checkout: the version of the song you selected and your gift at that moment. After you pay, the song stays as it is, and you can keep changing your gift's photos, message and look.

06Listening before you pay

Before you pay, you can listen to every complete version of your song and read the lyrics. Previews include a spoken watermark, and the gift preview shows a visual one; both are removed when you pay. Previews are for listening and deciding only.

Please listen carefully and check details such as names before you pay. That's why you can hear the whole song first.

07Quality and changes

• Songs are generated by AI, so results vary. A song may not follow every instruction exactly: a name may be pronounced differently than you expect, or the style may differ from what you imagined.
• If you'd like changes, make them before you pay, while you're creating your song.
• After payment, changes to the song itself aren't part of the standard service. You can still change your gift's photos and message.

08Immediate delivery and your right to withdraw

Your song is digital content made to your specifications. When you pay, you ask us to deliver it straight away, and you acknowledge that you lose the right to withdraw from the purchase that consumers in the EU, the UK and some other countries would otherwise have, usually for 14 days. We ask you to confirm both at checkout before you pay.

This doesn't affect your other rights, such as a refund when we can't deliver what you bought. See our Refund Policy.

09Refunds

Because you can listen to the complete song before paying, purchases are generally non-refundable. Our Refund Policy explains when we do refund, for example for duplicate charges or when we can't deliver what you bought.

10Delivery and keeping your files

Your files and gift page are available after payment. On the browser you used, you can go straight back to them; on another device, or after clearing your cookies, use Find your song and we'll email you a sign-in link. Download links work for a limited time, so just ask for a fresh one when you need it. A gift video stays available for 30 days after it's made, and you can make it again while your purchase is active. To keep video making quick for everyone, we limit how many new videos one order can make each day.

We keep your files and gift page for as long as described in our Privacy Policy, but we don't promise to store them forever, so please download your files and keep your own copy.

The service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

11Rights in your song

• Before you pay, we keep all rights in the songs, lyrics and previews we create.
• Once you pay, we transfer to you all the rights we hold in the version of the song you bought, including its recording and lyrics, permanently, worldwide, irrevocably and royalty-free. You can use it however you like, including commercially: play and share it, publish it on social media and other platforms, and release it on streaming services.
• Your gift video and lyrics PDF can be used in the same ways. The SongToLove templates, designs and branding they're made with stay ours; see Our brand and platform.
• AI and copyright: in some countries, works created with AI may not be protected by copyright or eligible for registration, so the rights we hold, and can transfer, may be limited. AI can also produce similar melodies or phrases for different people, so we can't guarantee that your song is exclusive or unique.
• Our promise: we won't claim rights in your song, resell it or license it to anyone else, or use it in promotion that identifies you without your permission.

12Your content

• You keep ownership of the stories, photos and messages you give us (“your content”).
• You allow us to use and process your content only to provide the service: to write and produce your song, build and deliver your gift, and keep it available as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You confirm that you have the right to share your content, and that you have the consent of the recipient and of anyone in your photos where it's needed.
• Don't submit content that's illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent or defamatory, that infringes someone else's rights, or that impersonates someone.
• To keep the service safe and prevent illegal content and abuse, we may review the content you upload and the content we generate.
• We may refuse an order, or remove content, that breaks these terms.

13AI-generated content

• Songs, lyrics and videos are created with AI from what you give us. They can contain mistakes and may, by coincidence, resemble existing works.
• We don't make songs that imitate a specific real artist or reproduce existing copyrighted lyrics, and we may decline requests that ask for them.
• The sample stories, names, songs, reviews and photos on our website are illustrative. Photos marked as AI photos show fictional people.

14Streaming release add-on

• If we offer the streaming release add-on and you buy it, we review your song and send it to an external distribution partner, which delivers it to music platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music.
• You're responsible for the release details you give us, such as the song title and artist name, and for making sure they're accurate and don't infringe anyone's rights.
• Each platform decides whether to accept a release, when it appears and how long it stays available. We can't control or guarantee those decisions.

15Our brand and platform

The SongToLove name and logo, our website, our gift page and video templates, our designs and our software belong to us or our licensors. They aren't part of the rights we transfer with your song, and these terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using the service as intended.

16Acceptable use

• Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break our security or get around our human checks, guess other people's gift links, scrape the site, overload our systems or generate songs with automated tools.
• We may limit, suspend or refuse service to anyone who breaks these terms, and remove content that does.

17Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will always be available or error-free, or that a song will meet every expectation.

As far as the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.

18Indemnity

As far as the law allows, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses we suffer if someone makes a claim against us because of content you gave us or because you broke these terms. This doesn't apply to the extent that we caused the problem.

19Changes to the service

We may improve, change or retire features over time. If a change takes away something you've already paid for, our Refund Policy applies.

20Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. Changes apply to purchases made after they're published, and we'll give notice on the site before significant changes take effect.

21Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by applicable law. Nothing in them takes away the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
